Your kids don’t like their greens? Try this hack. Soft, cheesy, and secretly packed with healthy spinach.

List of Ingredients

8 slices Crustless Sandwich Bread
8 Cheese Sticks
Cream Cheese
4 tbsp Smooth Tomato Sauce
40g Frozen Spinach
1tbsp Dry Oregano
2tbsp E/V Olive Oil
Fine Salt

Instructions

1

Prepare the spinach

Thaw the frozen spinach completely. Squeeze out as much excess water as possible. Season lightly with a pinch of salt.

2

Flatten the bread

Using a rolling pin, gently flatten each slice of bread to make it thin and flexible.

3

Assemble the filling

For each slice of bread: Spread a thin layer of cream cheese. Add a small spoon of tomato sauce and spread evenly. Sprinkle a little spinach over the surface. Add a pinch of oregano.

4

Add the cheese stick

Place one cheese stick along one edge of the bread slice.

5

Roll tightly

Roll the bread up tightly around the cheese stick, sealing the edge gently. Repeat with all slices.

6

Prepare for cooking

Brush each roll-up lightly with olive oil on all sides.

7

Cook until golden

Oven method (recommended): Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Place roll-ups on a lined baking tray. Bake for 10–15 minutes, turning once, until golden and crispy and the cheese inside is melted. Alternative pan method: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook roll-ups, turning occasionally, until all sides are golden and crisp.

8

Serve

Serve warm while the cheese is melted inside. Optional: serve with extra tomato sauce for dipping.
