Moroccan-Inspired Meatballs

Tender Moroccan-inspired meatballs simmered in a rich tomato sauce with warming spices for a comforting, flavour-packed family dinner.
List of Ingredients
750g (1.5lbs) ground beef
75g (1 cup) breadcrumbs
75g (1/2 cup) chopped dried apricots
3 tsp ground cumin
3 tsp ground coriander
1 egg, beaten
spray oil
s&p
700ml (3 cups) passata (tomato puree)
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground cumin
Instructions

Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, apricots, cumin, coriander, eggs, and s&p.

Shape into meatballs. You should make 20-24, depending on size.

Brown the meatballs in a large skillet sprayed with oil.

In a bowl, combine the tomato puree with the spices.

Add the remaining tomato puree to the skillet, and cook the meatballs in the sauce on a low flame for 20-25 minutes until they are cooked through.
