From humble beginnings to the heart of our Sliema team, Joe’s journey with Welbees is truly one for the books.
He started with us as a stacker and delivery man in 1986, back in the days of Tower Self Service, learning every corner of the business and proving that hard work, dedication, and a positive attitude always stand out. He went on to another job but returned in 1995 to Tower Supermarket Sliema, and he has been working with us ever since, taking on the role of storekeeper and continuing to grow with the company he loves.
Over the years, his commitment, kindness, and natural leadership shone through. Joe was promoted to Assistant General Manager and eventually became our General Manager, a role he fills with warmth, patience, and an unwavering care for both team and customers.
As one of our longest-serving employees, Joe has seen Welbee’s evolve, but he has always been the constant: approachable, supportive, and genuinely loved by everyone around him. He doesn’t just lead a store but he inspires people, builds community, and reminds us all what loyalty, passion, and kindness truly mean.
